Established in 1882, the town was named after William Gay when he opened the first store and post office. The community I live in along with my passion for antiques, vintage character, and stories from the past, have all been a big influence for my primitive and folk art style when creating my Santas!

I work alone, no staff, I create it all and enjoy every moment! What's my favorite part of creating you may wonder? After searching for vintage fabrics, cutting then stitching the clothes, building the bodies, cutting out, sanding and painting the wooden stands, sculpting, painting then aging the clay faces, washing and preparing the wool

After searching for vintage fabrics, cutting then stitching the clothes, building the bodies, cutting out, sanding and painting the wooden stands, sculpting, painting then aging the clay faces, washing and preparing the wool for the beards, and making all the toys they hold...probably my favorite part is putting it all together! My Santas and signature handmade toys are of my own designs. All are signed, dated and most one of a kind.
